Welcome to the CMB App!
Our world is changing, and our children are being heavily impacted. In 2022 the CDC and American Academy of Pediatrics changed the developmental milestones. The changes are trying to make allowances for babies, toddlers, and children acquiring skills later. There has already been an explosion of autism, attention deficits, and developmental delay since the 1980’s. Now with the changes that the CDC posted, we are normalizing developmental delays. Here are some examples:
Expected Language
7 weeks: “Cooing sounds” – vowels
3-4 months: Expresses joy
5 months: One syllable – “da”
8 months: Two syllable – “dada”
12 months: Two to three words
New CDC Guideline
2 months: Makes sounds other than crying
2 months: Reacts to loud noises
4 months: Sounds like “ooh” and “ahh”
4 months: Turns head towards sound
Expected Movement

3 months: Supports head and shoulders with forearms
6 months: Sits unsupoorted in the upright position
10 months: Cruises
12 months: Walks
