Genomic Testing: Building a Health Plan Based on YOUR Unique Blueprint

Genomic Testing: Building a Health Plan Based on YOUR Unique Blueprint

As we step into 2026, there’s no better time to reflect on our health and well-being. I want to talk about something that’s been transforming how we approach personalized healthcare at Connect My Brain: genomic testing.

Let me start by saying how encouraged I am by recent developments in healthcare freedom. The removal of mandatory Hep B vaccines for newborns is a step toward bodily autonomy—you should always have the right to decide what goes into your body and your child’s body. Whether you choose to vaccinate or not, that decision should be yours.

But today, I want to focus on something that empowers you with data-driven insights: genomics. Many people confuse this with genetics, but they’re quite different. Genetics refers to the chromosomes passed down from your parents—things like eye color and hair color that can’t be changed. Genomics, however, is your personal blueprint—the sequence variations within you that influence how your body functions. And here’s the exciting part: these can be changed.

At our practice, we’re using genomic testing to uncover critical insights. I’m consistently seeing low vitamin D levels in patients, but more importantly, we’re discovering that many people have poor vitamin D conversion capabilities. Even if your child plays outside regularly, they might not be getting the benefits you think they are.

We’re also identifying inflammatory markers that reveal your body may be working against itself. You might think you’re managing inflammation, but without proper testing, you could have genetic sequences holding you back.

The beauty of genomic testing is its specificity. It tells you exactly which supplements will work for your unique body and which medications will be most effective if needed. For young children experiencing developmental challenges, we’ve seen their genomic tests perfectly match their symptoms. After implementing targeted interventions, we retest in five to six years to measure improvement.

Stop guessing about your health. Get the data that tells your personal story and follow the specific direction it provides. Book a free call to see if genomic testing is right for you.

In this episode, we cover:

  • The difference between genetics and genomics—and why understanding your personal blueprint can actually be changed
  • How vitamin D deficiency and poor conversion rates are showing up repeatedly in testing, even in children who spend time outdoors
  • Why inflammatory markers matter and how hidden genetic sequences could be sabotaging your efforts to reduce inflammation
  • The power of genomic testing to reveal which specific supplements and medications will actually work for your unique body
  • Real results we’re seeing with children’s developmental challenges and why retesting after targeted interventions shows measurable change
